This market will resolve to “Yes” if Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin meet in person before December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM GMT+0. Otherwise, it will resolve to “No.”
A qualifying meeting must involve both Zelenskyy and Putin being physically present in the same location at the same time. The meeting may be bilateral or part of a larger summit, negotiation, ceremony, or multilateral event.
A video call, phone call, written exchange, indirect negotiation, meeting between representatives, or public statement expressing willingness to meet will not qualify.
The market will resolve “Yes” once credible evidence confirms that an in-person meeting occurred before the deadline. The meeting does not need to result in any agreement, ceasefire, treaty, or diplomatic breakthrough.
The primary resolution sources will be official statements from the governments of Ukraine or Russia, or from the host country or international organization involved in the meeting. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
